I had a great stay at the Mystic River Hotel & Suites—clean, quiet room with a comfy bed plus a mini fridge and microwave. The staff was friendly, check-in was easy, and the location is super convenient—just minutes from Mystic Aquarium, Olde Mistick Village, and plenty of restaurants. A solid, affordable choice in Mystic—I’d stay again!
I had a delightful stay in Mystic. The cottage was beautifully decorated and had a warm, inviting atmosphere. The location was excellent, with shops, restaurants, and the waterfront just a short walk away. The host was gracious and provided excellent hospitality. I would gladly return for another visit.
This hotel is next to all the major attractions in Mystic, Ct. The staff was helpful and my room was clean.
STAY HERE! Well, looks were deceiving-we made online reservations and when we pulled into the lot, it felt a bit sketchy, looks like their landscaper took a vacation, but we went in to their clean and nicely decorated lobby and greeted warmly. They gave us a luggage buggy to use and when we got to our clean as a whistle room (115) it was beautifully decorated with modern and fun everything, except shower was a bit antiquated but had nice warm shower. Bed was 100% comfortable and pillows too, bed was made tight with coffee service and mini fridge in room. We never saw insects or mice, as mentioned in other reviews. Best part was that in the hallways and room we never smelled any signs of cigarette smoke. Overall a very pleasant experience very close to all fun things in mystic! I highly recommend this hotel!
At first arriving the outside looked a bit run down/outdated, but when we entered we could see that the hotel was going through renovation. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The rooms were extremely clean, house cleaning was very thorough. One thing I really enjoyed was the fact there was a pool. After finding out that it is a saltwater pool, they use a teeny bit too much salt. My eyes were watering and burning after a while, but that's mostly my fault by opening my eyes under water. The room we had had a microwave and a mini fridge. The Beds were comfortable. The only complaint I have is that the "continental breakfast" could've been better. Not much variety.
It definitely needs some TLC but the staff was very friendly warming and inviting. It was not what we expected but if I was back in the area I would definitely stay there again. Room was very clean, color scheme for the bedding was beautiful. Showers work amazing. Has better water pressure than our apartment. Overall our stay was good. Our family was satisfied.
Stayed there for 3 nights. Definitely needs some TLC but has potential. Staff was nice. The pool was warm but definitely needs to be cleaned more often. It is salt water and should have a sign saying so. The sauna does not work and shouldn't be advertised. As for the rooms the beds should be queens at least. Sharing a full sized bed with my wife or son was difficult. All in all I would give this hotel a second chance but should really be updated to compete with all the big chain hotels in the area. The location to old mystic village makes it a great value.
My roommate and my service dog and I stayed here for about two weeks and we highly recommend this hotel to anyone needing to stay in the Mystic area. It's clean and the staff is very personable and nice. The price is very reasonable as well. I am definitely going to stay there again.
